he seemed to jump a little bit right and go right, I'm not sure about that but it's great he won and Rachael was brilliant on him. After a couple or three runs he seems to lose his form so that's why we purposely put him away for now. At the back end of each season he can be a bit disappointing but when he's on song he really does battle. He's in the Ryanair and he's in the Gold Cup so we'll see. We'll see how he is, as I say he doesn't take too many runs so we felt we had to come here and it's great to win this. We'll enjoy today and then see what we want to do. He won the Ten Up on goodish ground last year so I don't think that ground is a necessity. I still don't know why his form tails off a bit, I think there are only three or four runs in him.

Brian (Acheson, owner through Robcour) suggested this race and it made a lot of sense. Robbie was brilliant on him and he’s a very good horse. His form tailed off a bit last season so we’ll have to watch that and it seems he doesn’t want too much racing. We went to Aintree full of confidence and he was well beaten and then he ran no sort of race at Punchestown.

he really toughed it out there which was good to see. Rachael got a great tune out of him and he jumped brilliant, bar maybe the last. We just said we wanted to try dropping him in again and see. It seemed to suit him well and he was able to jump his way into it no bother so that was great. I'd say you'd have to look at the RSA now. I think he's entitled, I have to speak to the owners and see what they'd like to do but I wouldn't see why not. The ground might be my only reason why not — it's as good as he'd want it there today but he was good. I'm delighted to get it for Robcour.

He was a very, very talented horse from the start and we shouldn't have ran him in the Landrover Bumper because he was raw at that time, but the lads (the Crooked Crew Syndicate) wanted a runner at Punchestown. He was nearly sold after winning his point-to-point but failed the vet due to his wind but we got his wind done and is flying ever since. Patrick Mullins told us in Thurles to forget about bumpers as he'd be a right good horse without being in a bumper and is a three mile chaser out-and-out and is a very promising horse. We won't be too hard on him this year but he'll run next in the Dorans Pride Novice Hurdle back here at Christmas.
