He loves the heavy ground and isn't as slow as people think. We love to see it raining when he runs but is a horse you can't run too often as he suffers with a bad back. He could end up in Punchestown or in Clonmel (for the Clonmel Cup) but it'll all depend on the ground.

He gave me my first winner in Limerick (at Christmas) and it's great to get back winning on him again,. It looked all over for me but he keeps finding-he's tough and he stays very well. He loves the mud. That's my second winner and I'm with my dad (winning trainer Eamonn) four days a week. I'm with Charles Byrnes two days a week.

He won over two miles one on the flat [at Clonmel]. He'll stay three miles and loves that ground. His jumping has improved a lot and has been ironed out now. There's a novice hurdle at Clonmel over two miles six in February though we might go for a winners of one in between.

he (Captainofthefleet) is a relentless galloper and when we sort out his jumping (has run three time over hurdles in the past), he should make a fair three mile hurdler. He was tough although he did get a handy lead. Once the ground gets any way good we'll let him off as that's probably as good as he wants it.
