They went a good pace and his jumping kept him in it. He quickened up, but really he's crying out for two and a half miles. Chasing will be his game but we felt this was too nice a prize to miss out on. He'll go chasing now,.

That was a good performance for only his second start in a handicap. He will go for the good two and a half mile handicap at Punchestown now and I've always said he wants two and a half miles. The better the ground the better he is. He'll go over fences next season and he is one to look forward too.

Bryan (Cooper) hurt his shoulder at Ballinrobe and we're hoping he'll be back at Sligo on Wednesday - it's nice for Roger to get a winner though, he's a good lad. Captain Arceus was impressive . he was very brave in his bumper win as the ground was very bad that day. He is really honest, travels and jumps well and we'll look for a winners of one somewhere now.

He is a nice sort of horse and he had a couple of runs last year which would suggest he had a chance today. He appeared to be in good form coming here today and he will now go for a maiden hurdle in about three weeks' time. He will make a nice chaser.
