he’s not the most straight-forward horse in the world, but David gets on well with him. He’s good and tough, and is going the right way. He did everything right today, he’s just a tough, hardy, genuine horse, and will be a grand horse going jumping fences. He’ll only be a horse next year, so whatever he does now is a bonus.

Two and a half miles could be his trip and going faster would suit him better. He dropped him in at Gowran but today was a cat-and-mouse race. He's a chaser in the making and I'll probably drop him back to 2m 4f next time.

he was very keen in bumpers last year and I thought he'd come a lot from the run today but maybe the horses are a bit fitter than we thought starting off. We'll keep it small with him for the moment. That's probably his trip (2m4f), although it looked like he'd stay further there.

He's very keen at home and, if he learns to settle, he could be a nice horse next year. He'll go out now and is a nice horse to go jumping next season. He wouldn't want the ground any quicker than that.
