It's sad but I'm delighted to win Kieran's race. This is a race Kieran lost his life in and the first time I've won it. It was a great ride by Bryan. He's a tricky horse. You can't hit him and have to coax him home.

He will probably run next in the Galway Hurdle. If he gets the split at the right time there he could have a chance. He got his head in front at last here. It was always going to be a race like this that he would win as thats a handicap for maidens.

we tried Action Master in cheek-pieces at Leopardstown the last day as he carries his head awkwardly but they didn't seem to work. He has loads of ability and may be suited by a better run race. He goes on heavy ground but I've no plans for him from here.

He was unfortunate a couple of times and that was more like it today. He was dead in himself the last day and perhaps I ran him too quickly (a week after his previous run). He was good on that ground today and he's a nice juvenile. He was bought at the Goffs Millions Sale as a yearling.
