Good ground is the key to this fella. I thought he might have gone up too far (in the handicap), but he's improving all the time and he's Galway-bound now. If he gets into the beginners' chase on Thursday he'll go for that and if not we'll find a hurdle race for him. He'll have a few entries.

He wanted this ground and he didn't get it last year. He will probably run again soon and he is entered a few times next week. He looks like he is a pure chaser. That is my first winner for Paul Holden.

Abolitionist provided 'Shark' Hanlon with a welcome winner in the first division of the two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle at Sligo. Andrew McNamara drove his mount into the lead before the second last and he stuck on well in the closing stages. Majestic Benbulben chased him home but could only get within three-parts-of-a-length.I thought I'd never have a winner. I've had four or five seconds in the last fortnight,.
