He likes the hill and the heavy ground and when the going gets tough, the tough get going! That describes him well as he's not the quickest in the world but he'll stay going for you and keep trying and trying and trying. He had some very good form last year, even his run behind Disko was a good run on goodish ground whereas on that ground today he takes a bit of beating, especially over a trip. He'll probably be entered in the Grade 1 Nicholson Chase in Down Royal but maybe the Troytown Chase is the race for him. It'll be heavy ground at Navan and that might be his job and might be a more realistic target.

he needs at least three miles and while he goes on good ground, it's just the soft ground slows the others down. He couldn't have it far enough or soft enough and could be one to consider for the four-mile race at Cheltenham. As soon as he (Cooper) injected a bit of pace off the bend he had them all in trouble and he's a brilliant jumper. There is a Grade 3 race in Naas (on January 28) over three miles that we could look at.

We were talking about going for another bumper with him and keeping him a novice for next season but I don't see him as a hurdler,. If he takes to jumping fences then a fence could be worth two lengths to him. He's a big, long horse and he'd want a big track too. He could have another run or two now before the end of the season.

Nina thought she didn't make enough use of him the last day. She said to bring him to Navan or Naas and he'd win. It was a tough performance by both horse and jockey.
