< Shinrock Paddy showed his class with a runaway success in the Barry & Sandra Kelly Memorial Hurdle at Navan.

The victory gave trainer Paul Nolan and jockey Alain Cawley a Grade One double after Joncol's success in the John Durkan at Punchestown last Sunday.

The 7-2 chance joined long-time leader The Hurl four out and after holding a clear lead three out, went on to score by 15 lengths from the 11-10 favourite Rhyl Accord

The pair had the closing stages to themselves and race fitness told as Roberto Goldback (6-4) got the measure of the 8-11 favourite on the run-in to win by four lengths.

Winning trainer Jessica Harrington said: "We might miss Christmas now as he's had three very close races and we had to come back here because things hadn't gone right for him.
