Mikey Sheehy gave Dances With Stars a beautifully judged ride as he recorded back to back successes at Dundalk.

The Joseph O'Brien-trained entire went to post 6/4 favourite to repeat his victory at the track a fortnight ago.

He was held up off a strong pace in the mile-and-a-half handicap before making smooth headway between horses after the two pole.

The son of Sea The Stars was delivered to lead inside the final furlong and was always doing enough late on to record a half length win over Effernock Fizz

Sheehy said afterwards:- "It was a competitive handicap. He's a really likeable horse, he switches off in his races. I was waiting for the gaps to come in the straight and when they came, he was good and game for me.

"He's a nice horse and he keeps improving. He hasn't run much on turf but you'd think he would like a bit of fast ground. I'll leave that up to Joseph.

"He could definitely go places with him in the summer, maybe he might sneak into a premier handicap somewhere along the line."
