Just four went to post for the rated novice hurdle and 6/4 joint-favourite Sam Magee a point-to-point winner at five for Liam Kenny, landed the spoils under Rachael Blackmore.

Held up in touch in rear, the Jet Away gelding travelled well throughout and came through to lead at the second-last before staying on well to beat fellow joint-favourite Givehimthehonour by seven lengths.

Henry de Bromhead, sending out his sixth winner in five days, said of Roger Brookhouse's seven-year-old: “It's taken time but he's really coming to himself now.

“It's his first run back from a break and I'm happy with him. I'd say we'll be looking for a fence fairly soon.

“I'm delighted for Roger. Rachael was good on him."
