Carnet De Stage kept on well in the straight to complete a double for jockey Darragh O'Keeffe in the Kelly Foley O'Connor Pyne Handicap Chase at Killarney.

O'Keeffe, successful earlier in the afternoon on Effernock Fizz took over two out on the Eugene O'Sullivan trained gelding and held a commanding lead jumping the last.

Filon D'Oudairies emerged from out of the pack to throw down a late challenge but the winner always had enough in reserve to hold him off.

It was a popular winner for O'Sullivan who trains in Lombardstown, County Cork.

Eugene O'Sullivan said; "we took him to Listowel last September and fancied him but he finished fourth and we then took him to Downpatrick and he won. He has been disappointing in between times, was on and off for the winter but was on fire today.

"The lads are from Listowel and Listowel is where we were aiming as (owner) Kevin O'Callaghan owns the hotel in Listowel and the Cliff House Hotel in Ballybunion. He is going there next and there is a similar race for him there."
