Free Competition Draw rules for Irishracing.com

The Organizer

  • The organizer of this Free Competition Draw (the “Competition”) is Better Collective A/S, Toldbodgade 12, 1253 Copenhagen K (Hovedstaden) Denmark, CVR.27652913 the owner of the website www.irishracing.com (the ‘’Website’’).

Start and Closing Date

  • The Competition starts on 17/09/2021 at 09:00AM (UTC+1 hour)
  • The Competition ends on 23/09/2021 at 11:00PM (UTC+1 hour)

Eligibility

  • In order to participate in the Competition organized by the Website (the “Organizer” “we”, “us”, “our”)  the participant (he/she) must have a valid e-mail address.
  • Participants must be over 18 years old.
  • Competition is open to all the users of the Website.

How to participate

  • Participating in the Competition is completely free of charge.
  • Each user can only participate once.
  • To participate in the Competition, you must fill in the form by entering your email address and first name. As simple as that!
  • Each user can only use one email address to enter the Competition.

Determining the winner

  • After the Competition is closed, one winner will be selected by a random draw out of all eligible participants.
  • Random draw will be conducted on 24/09/2021 by the Organizer.

Prize

  • There will be one prize for one winner.
  • The winner will receive a prize that consists of the 2 nights stay at the 4-star Dromhall Hotel and tickets to both days of Oktoberfest at Killarney Racecourse for two people. This arrangement includes bed and breakfast, plus one evening meal at the Dromhall Hotel.

  • The abovementioned trip will take place on 2nd October (Saturday) and 3rd October (Sunday) 2021.
  • The transportation costs to and from Dromhall Hotel as well as from the Hotel to the Killarney Racecourse and back are not included in the prize.
  • The prize will be provided to the winner by Killarney Racecourse, Ross Road, Killarney, Co.Kerry, (the “Racecourse”) a racetrack who sponsors the competition.
  • Racecourse will contact the user via email, in order to arrange the handling over the prize, by 5.30PM on 24th September.
  • Racecourse will send a voucher in the email with all the relevant prize details that will use the winner to collect the prize.
  • If the winner is the resident of Ireland, there is no tax liability for him nor the Organizer.
  • In the event a winner comes from another country, taxes may be applicable, and the winner could be liable to pay taxes to the tax authority.
  • In case the Competition entails tax liability for the Organizer, it will be taken care of by the Organizer and in communication with the relevant tax authority.
  • Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The date of the trip is not subject to change.

 Personal data 

 

  • We will process your email and first name in order to enable participation in the Competition.
  • We may publish the first name of the prizewinner on our Website in order to contribute to transparency of the Competition, and to comply with the regulations established by the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland and local legislation.
  • After signing up for the Competition, the participant can opt-in to receive the future promotions, news and offers from the Racecourse. He/she would be asked to provide the email address in order to receive the promotional emails. If a participant does so,  his/her email address will be shared with the third party - Racecourse[a][b], for the purpose of sending newsletters upon his/her consent. A subscribed participant might opt-out any time by using the unsubscribe option available in the link at the bottom of any received promotional email.   
  • Personal data may be shared with a third party - Racecourse, that is the sponsor of the Competition, for the purpose of delivering the prize.

Breach of Rules

General clause

  • If a participant violates Competition rules, he/she will be punished at our sole discretion.
  • The extent of a punishment is determined by the severity of the offence and the decisions made by the Organizer are final and should be respected.


Complaints

  • Any issues or doubts which have no clear guidelines in the above rules will be dealt with at the discretion of the Irishracing.com administration.
  • If the participant wishes to contest some of our decisions he/she can do so by sending an email to [email protected] .
  • Any legal disputes that may arise are subject to Irish law and will be settled by the competent courts of Ireland.

  • We reserve the right to make changes to the rules of the Competition at our sole discretion, and we will inform users of any significant changes by posting the changes on the Website.
