Cork Sat, 30th Mar, 2024  Shandy I thought she might have been an Ascot two-year-old this time last year but she had a bit of an issue so spent a long time out in the field. It was a rush to get her ready to run so she had no foundation going to the Curragh last October. Colin (Keane, then jockey ) liked her, said she was weak but it was just that everything was a rush getting her to run. This is Seamie's first winner for me, he comes in a couple of times a week and had ridden winners (three) for my father. He, Joey (Sheridan) and Andy (Slattery) will all ride for me this year.

Dundalk Fri, 12th Jan, 2024  Beautiful Dawn A nice performance. She had a lovely prep run up here the first day over six furlongs and it sharpened her up plenty for today. She really tries really hard, as you can see her head is on the floor there trying so hard. Hopefully, she can strengthen up and go on to better things. She's not the biggest but what she lacks in size she gains in heart, and she skips across that surface. First winner for Joseph - I ride the odd little bit of work for Joseph and when you get a leg up on one it is great. Shane (Crosse, brother) retired and I got on one or two!

Dundalk Wed, 29th Nov, 2023  Gobi Star He got a bit messy in the stalls and half missed the kick, which he hasn't been doing — he's been breaking really quick,. He settled a little bit better tonight than he did the last night. He got a good tow into the race, picked up and just came out the right side of the photo. It could have gone either way and I wasn't sure we had won. I joked with the handicapper the other day that he had whacked us, but I've often found when he does hit you that hard they are often right. You'd think winning three-and-a-half that you'd get 8lb or maybe 9lb, but he was right - just about!
