Cieren Fallon, the rider of Party Island (IRE), placed third, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip with excessive force on the run to the line.
Fallon had also appeared to strike his mount shortly after the winning line.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Fallon was suspended for a further 2 days under Rule D(2) in that he had struck his mount once down the shoulder shortly after crossing the winning line in a manner which the Stewards had deemed unacceptable.
The Stewards wished to hold an enquiry into the use of the whip by William Carver, the rider of the winner, Tralee Hills (GB), but were unable to do so as Carver had left the course.
They adjourned their enquiry on a date to be confirmed.
Following the race, David Probert reported that End Result (GB), which started favourite and finished seventh, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination revealed the filly finished lame behind.
Harry Dunlop reported that Angel On High (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Soft on this occasion, and would prefer a faster surface.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Crown Power (IRE), placed sixth, finished lame on its right- hind.
