Barry gave him a great ride, he knows what he is like and he has seen what he is like. He has done nothing wrong all season and he ran a great race in Cheltenham as well. He is a nice big horse and he has a bit of class about him which you need in these type of races. We needed Barry to get him home in end. The Stewards interviewed A. Ring, rider of Saoirse Dun, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found A. Ring in breach of Regulation 10 4 by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip and having taken his record into account suspended him for three race days. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Home Farm, trained by A.L.T.Moore, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be Blowing Hard post race. R.C. Colgan, rider of Clar Na Mionn, trained by V. T. O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up, lame behind.
