Approaching the final furlong, Get It (GB), placed third, shifted right-handed whilst racing greenly, carrying Blackberry (GB), placed fourth, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Get It (GB).
The performance of Caroline Dale (GB), which finished unplaced, was considered.
David Loughnane could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Caroline Dale (GB), during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Ben Robinson reported that Saluti (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed inside the final 2 furlongs.
Bryan Smart reported that Blackberry (GB), placed fourth, was in season.
