FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SIRE DE BERLAIS is less enigmatic than some of his main rivals and was a Grade 1 winner, beating Flooring Porter, at Aintree. Runner-up in the 2021 Cheltenham Stayers, he was hampered in his Pertemps Final hat-trick bid in March but bounced back at Aintree. Paisley Park, winner of the 2019 Stayers Hurdle, retains almost all of his old ability and did extraordinarily well to win, having whipped around at the start at Cheltenham in January. He was third in the Stayers Hurdle (Klassical Dream was fifth) in March but comes with a warning, regarding the start. Klassical Dream is himself difficult at the start and tired late-on (having made a final flight mistake) at Cheltenham but won this last year and is high-class. Thedevilscoachman takes another further jump up in distance but faces proven top stayers. Gentlemansgame, who returned to form at Thurles, beat Vanilier by three lengths in a course and distance novice hurdle last year although both face stiff tasks. Concertista tries this distance for the first time having disappointed over fences at Cheltenham while Ashdale Bob ran well at Cheltenham but needs to improve.
