FormscanBy Alan Magee - KEMBOY and Frodon both like to race prominently and, even taking into consideration obvious concerns about riding tactics, the Willie Mullins-trained gelding gets the vote to take this valuable prize for the second successive year. The selection loves this course and distance having also won a Savills Chase and comes here with a very similar profile to last season when also going close in that Christmas highlight. Frodon was primed to beat Galvin, Minella Indo and Delta Work at Down Royal this autumn but ran out of steam in the straight last time in the King George at Kempton. Minella Indo ran too bad to be true in that race and connections reported the whole experience took a lot out of him. Hopefully he’ll put that disappointment behind him and return to something like the form which landed the Cheltenham Gold Cup last March. Asterion Forlonge has obvious jumping issues especially going left-handed.
