FormscanBy Michael Graham - Gordon Elliott's TRONADOR should appreciate this test. He was a never nearer fourth over an extended 1m5f at Sligo last month before finishing sixth over further in a 30,000 pound stayers' handicap in Musselburgh. He won a Grade 3 handicap hurdle at Aintree last year and looks the one to beat with Colin Keane booked. There should be a staying handicap in Tronador's stablemate Britzka at some stage. This is a former maiden hurdle winner who was third in a Group 2 juvenile hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas. Efforts since then over flights have been uninspiring, however, when he was last seen in this discipline he kept on for second over 1m4f at Leopardstown off a rating of 67. He ought to appreciate this trip. Jake Coen claims 7lb, so he is effectively racing off a mark of 58. Scalor was runner-up over a similar trip at Gowran Park in April. He didn't run badly at all in third in a recent Down Royal handicap, so enters the reckoning.
