Robin Des Foret has a win strike-rate even his handler and Champion Trainer Willie Mullins would be envious of, as the eight year old bagged his ninth win in the Allman Contracts Ltd. Novice Chase at Listowel today.

Ridden by Mullins' nephew David Mullins, the son of Robin Des Pres gave weight away to his four rivals and in the end readily scored a 14 lengths win over Gusty Rocky

Robin Des Foret's nine wins have been gained in 17 races, for a strike-rate of 53%, and following today's success jockey David Mullins commented "he is a big gorgeous horse and has looked a chaser every day since he was running in bumpers. He went around like the best horse in the race and he jumped fantastic.

"He has taken a while to mature but did that like a good horse. Willie had him well placed and he is very consistent. He keeps a bit for himself and that's probably why he is so consistent.

"He traveled and jumped out of that ground like a proper horse today."

Trainer Mullins was at Leopardstown, where his Limini won an earlier Premier Handicap, and was recording his eighth success at the Listowel festival, to add to his high profile win with Thomas Hobson in yesterday's Donacaster Cup.
