Clondaw does it like he should

Clondaw Warrior won the last race on the card at Down Royal, the Albert Barlett Pt-to-Pt INH Flat Race in the manner a 4/7f should, for trainer John 'Shark' Hanlon and owner/rider Paul McMahon.

The son of Overbury was headed close home and went down by just a neck on his racecourse debut at Tipperary earlier in the month, but made no mistake here winning by a convincing five lengths with Glimmer Star for Nina Carberry & Gordon Elliott back in second.

Winning trainer John Hanlon said afterwards, "I bought him off Colin Bowe. I'm delighted for Paul (McMahon) who puts a lot of money into the game and this is my first horse for him. He was beaten by a better horse at Tipperary the last day.

"He is only a 4yo so he will have a break now and might come back for a winners bumper at Galway. He was placed in his two point-to-points, he jumps well and I’m looking forward to going hurdling with him."
