A dual winner in the UK when in the care of Paul Nicholls, Individualiste opened his account for current connections in the Thurles Beginners Chase.
Down the field on his debut for Gavin Cromwell and owner Owen Daley at Cheltenham last month, the French bred six-year-old put in a much improved performance when fourth of 16 at Gowran on his most recent start.
Sent off a 2/1 chance this afternoon, the roan gelding tracked the leaders under Keith Donoghue and was poised to challenge in a close second from four out.
In front from the next, he kicked a few lengths clear before the final fence and ultimately eased to a three and three parts of a length success.
Returned the 11/8 favourite, Crossing The Bar finished second under Carl Millar for Cian Collins, while Muskerry Rock (33/1) was another four and a quarter lengths back in third.
"He had a good run the last day and jumped well today," Donoghue reflected.
"We thought stepping up in trip would suit him and it looked a winnable race. He was a little slow jumping the last but did it well.
"He seems to have found his form, is in a good frame of mine so hopefully he can progress from that. He probably doesn't want the depths of winter ground but is fine on any normal ground."
