The Free Eagle gelding travelled well to assert two furlongs from home that day but got a bit tired late on and held on by a short-head from The Last Line. He looks to have a good level of ability if he settles a bit better now. Jerry From Kerry was beaten at a short price on his debut at Roscommon but was a touch green late on then and is open to improvement. He looks like the danger. Richard O'Brien has a good record in bumpers and Spare Chips is a noteworthy newcomer with Finny Maguire booked.
