FormscanBy John O'Riordan - Having yet to strike from five attempts over hurdles, reverting to the Flat could see OMNISCIENT return to winning ways. A dual winner for Sir Mark Prescott, the five-year-old has been less than fluent since switching his attention to jumping. Without any obstacles in his path on this occasion, the gelding looks to have strong claims. Killarney winner Seddon faces a stiffer task over this shorter trip but given the manner of his success last time the John McConnell-trained veteran commands maximum respect. Former German winner Weston has yet to get his head in front in this country but shaped with promise when fourth for current connections at Navan in May. The gelding had excuses when badly hampered at Galway on his latest start.

One of the girls in the (Galaxy Racing) syndicate said to me 'it's unbelievable' and I said 'it is unbelievable',. He is such an easy horse for me to do anything with. It made sense to come for the hurdle, even though it was strong, with his mark. Ben gave him a beautiful ride and as I said at Cheltenham he just loves galloping. People give out about horse racing and say it's cruel and all that rubbish. He should be the poster boy for racing because he loves doing it and on top of that he's very good. He's been a horse of a lifetime for these boys and for me. I don't want it to end but it has to end sometimes. I've been banging on about the American Grand National since Leopardstown. He's 148 over fences now, two-mile-five on good ground so why not. It would be some trip and he's paid for it anyway. We thought he might win a race and get to Cheltenham in October for the guys but to have done what he's done is crazy. What do you do to top Cheltenham now? He's probably not good enough to win graded races in this country.

It had gone too soft for him at Listowel (last September) and I don't know what happened at Fairyhouse (October) as he never travelled,. That was great. He's a lovely horse to have in the yard. Mark said he jumped great so you couldn't have asked for a better start. Mark said when he got going he really got the hang of it. It was a lovely introduction and he's an exciting horse to have in the yard, we're lucky to have him. I'd say Noel's horse probably stopped a little bit at the last and that helped him a bit but Mark thought he was going to get there anyway. We'll have a talk with Frank and JP and see where we go now.

Ricky Doyle schooled him over hurdles before he ran at Naas and said he never saw a horse go from 'A to B' as quick. . Sean (Flanagan, on Will Wilde) took him on early doors today and while he was gaining on the flat, my fella was gaining over the jumps. He was low and quick. His form is on heavy, but yielding ground shouldn't inconvenience him. I didn't think beyond today and it is hard to know where to go now.

He is qualified for the Full Circle Series Qualifier at the Punchestown festival and I don't really want to go back over hurdles before then. We were taking a chance running him over two miles, but there was plenty pace in the race, he jumped well and saw it out. We'll pick another race for him and his main aim is the race at Punchestown.

He is a homebred and had nice form in bumpers. He was getting a bit stale in bumpers so we said we'd switch to hurdles and he had schooled very well. He probably needs that soft ground,. The lads (22-member Oakroom Racing Club, from Donegal to Kerry) have had plenty success for 10 or 12 years, came to me recently when buying into him so it is great to get them a winner. He isn't good enough for novice races at this time of year so we'll see what the handicapper gives him and make a plan from there.

we had no great expectations coming here with his lack of experience but he looks a nice horse. He never ran in a schooling hurdle so probably has a bright future. Most of the others had either run on the Flat or over hurdles and it came easy enough to him and won well in the end. We might look at Punchestown now and see how that goes.

She jumped and settled and he (jockey Jack Kennedy) said he couldn't believe how much she picked up. He thought he had got there plenty soon enough and, when he asked her, he picked up well. We are delighted with her. She will be better on better ground - the whole family want better ground. She is the only one of them that is happy on that soft ground. She will be probably come back here for the novice hurdle in the Dublin Racing Festival. We might as well as she is still a novice. She jumps very slick and they will have to give her 7lb. Then we will probably wait for Fairyhouse, which is early this year, for the mares' Grade 1. That will be kind of her programme.
