The J.P. McManus owned, Christy Roche trained Coolaghaknock Glebe landed a gamble (8/1 this morning into 9/2 favourite) when winning the Next Racing At Fairyhouse February 20th Novice Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse today, under jockey Alan Crowe.
McManus' other runner in the race Thats A Wrap led at the second last flight where Coolaghaknock Glebe blundered but the winner soon swept past and in the end scored a comfortable win over Nobody Home
Following the win, Crowe, having his first winner since August, stated “he didn't actually make a mistake at the second last; he landed in a false patch of ground and just took a false step.
"I wouldn't say it was the greatest race but it's nice to get a win."
