Curtis takes last at the Curragh
Dawn Eclipse supplied Ben Curtis with his 21st winner of the season when taking the concluding IHWT Welfare Aware Irish Stallions EBF Fillies Handicap at the Curragh today.
Curtis came with a well timed run to lead inside the final furlong to score by a convincing three and a half lengths.
Winning trainer Tom McCourt stated: “We were a little worried about the ground but if anything it improved her on the slow ground. I’m sure she’ll probably get a bit of a hike by the handicapper now.”
“She’s in the Listed race at Naas on Wednesday, and she’ll probably have a go in it.”
