St Lawrence Gap is a versatile type that's giving his connections plenty of enjoyment and he today gained his sixth career win in the featured Jake Carter Plays Live At Limerick Racecourse June 22nd Handicap.

That tally is split evenly between the Flat and hurdles and here he won over his shortest distance yet — an extended mile and three.

The son of Tagula took this on soft to heavy but he's also triumphed on good to firm, so owners the South East Racing Club, and trainer Eoin Doyle can't ask for much more from their six-year-old.

Ross Coakley has been aboard for all the Flat successes.

On this occasion Coakley had the 8/1 shot in mid-division, and he pushed him along and switched left under two furlongs out.

St Lawrence Gap then made headway over a furlong out and led a hundred and fifty yards from home, keeping on well to see off Ming Dynasty by two and a half lengths.

After a Greenmount Park win last summer, the Doyle runner was bringing up a Limerick double also.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Kerosin (GER) trained by James McAuley pulled its left fore shoe in running.

N.G. McCullagh, rider of Two For Tea trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with unintentional interference in the closing stages but was going backwards at the time.
