Lady Mega readily overcame an absence of 309 days to beat her match-fit rivals in the five furlong handicap at Dundalk.

She certainly didn't go unbacked as the 13/2 this morning was taken before she went off at 7/2.

She broke away smartly, with Robbie Downey in the plate, and soon disputed the lead with Geological

Lady Mega travelled much the best entering the home straight and assumed the lead as all seven rivals came off the bridle.

She was shaken up a furlong and a half out by Downey and then ridden at the furlong pole.

She kept on well as the closers tried to reel her in. However, she repelled them all in coming home by a length and a quarter from 6/4 favourite Go Kart Strategic Force (9/1) was a further head away in third.

There was a bunch finish behind the winner from Go Kart in second down to Geological in seventh.

Lady Mega competed off a mark of 73 this evening having been on 85 when contesting a turf sprint handicap when last seen at Tipperary in June 2015.
