Ground eases following rain at Wexford

The going description has eased slightly following 3mm of rain overnight at Wexford and is now good, good to yielding in places.

It is currently raining in the south-east but due to clear this morning and the first on an eight-race National Hunt card gets underway at 1.20pm.

There is also an eight-race jumps card at Navan with the action commencing later on at 4.35pm.

The County Meath venue also had 3mm of rain overnight and the going is good (selective watering) with a dry forecast.

Looking ahead, yesterday’s rain in the west has had an impact on the going at Ballinrobe. The County Mayo track hosts a Flat fixture (on the inner loop) next Monday and the going is now soft.

The forecast is mainly dry until Saturday after which a further 10-15mm of rain is predicted.
