Angelic Light may begin her new campaign against her elders at Listed level this weekend.

Trainer Michael O'Callaghan has identified Navan's Cork Stakes as a likely starting point for his three-year-old filly, who concluded her juvenile campaign with a Listed win at Newmarket in November.

"Angelic Light might run at Navan against older horses in a Listed sprint," said the Curragh trainer.

"She's done very well over the winter, and I couldn’t be happier with her."

Angelic Light’s win in the Bosra Sham Stakes at Newmarket came on soft ground, but O’Callaghan thinks she may become more adaptable to conditions.

He added: "I hope she makes into a Group-class sprinter this year - she won a Listed race last year.

"She does need a cut in the ground, but now that she has grown and matured maybe she might be a little more versatile."
