Irish raider Clear Skies is among a field of 10 declared for the Betway Winter Derby at Lingfield on Saturday.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained mare did not win a race until November but has been a revelation since running on the all-weather at Dundalk, where she has won five of her last six starts in the last three months.

Khalidi, a dual Listed winner on turf, will run on an artificial surface for the first time as he makes his debut for the Clive Cox stable.

The four-year-old colt used to be trained by John Gosden and was last seen finishing second in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood in August.

Gosden is represented by Utmost, who staked his claim with victory in the Winter Derby Trial over the course and distance three weeks ago.

Convey bids to land the spoils for the second successive year for trainer Sir Michael Stoute, and the Newmarket handler has a second string to his bow in Autocratic.

Richard Fahey's seasoned campaigner Gabrial is in the line-up, as is David Elsworth's Master The World, winner of the Listed Churchill Stakes on this track in November.

The other runners in the Group Three contest are Battle Of Marathon, Mr Owen and Petite Jack.

The four withdrawals at the 48-hour final declaration stage were Abe Lincoln, Goring, Mount Tahan and Star Archer.
