Bluesbreaker continued the good recent run of trainer Damian English by taking the Book Online At tipperaryraces.ie Handicap.

The north County Dublin handler has now saddled five winners inside the last four weeks, and the son of Fastnet Rock was scoring for the second time this turf season. Sweetest Taboo looked set to score inside the final furlong of this sprint but Bluesbreaker came home strongly under Rory Cleary.

The 5/1 chance got up in the closing stages to prevail by half a length, with Battleroftheboyne a further two and a half lengths away in third.

English later posted on twitter, "I probably ran him back too quick the last day but he is still raw and green and loves that ground."

Cleary said, "I took my time early and his stamina came into play in the last furlong and a half."
