Trainer Edward O'Grady recently spoke about having fewer horses to run this winter campaign but nonetheless registered his ninth winner of the campaign when his Allardyce landed the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Beginners Chase at Cork today.

Allardyce was today gaining a second career win when beating runner-up Last Man Standing by four and a half lengths, to score on his second chase run.

O'Grady wasn't present and afterwards Dempsey reported “he was good and brave and I was long at one or two and he came for me. I got there sooner than I wanted to but I was jumping so well down the back that he got me there.

“Hopefully he can pick up another race or two along the way and it was nice to get a winner for Mr O'Grady as well.”

O'Grady reported on November 1 that “I'm afraid we'll be very quiet for the winter” but today's win was the four-time Champion Trainer's ninth success from just 56 runners this term.
