He started his career with a fourth place behind The Pentagon at the Curragh last July and interestingly had subsequent UAE Derby winner, and leading Kentucky Derby hope, Mendelssohn behind him in eighth. In Change Of Velocity's next couple of races he finished fifth and third at Leopardstown and has been getting closer with each race. Obviously, with a rating of 80, he is vulnerable to an above-average newcomer and there could be several of them lurking here. Aidan O'Brien introduces two Galileo colts in Frankincense and Southern France with Ryan Moore on the latter, who has been chalked up as favourite. Dermot Weld has been among the winners and his newcomer Sheberghan catches the eye on breeding being by Sea The Stars out a Group Three-placed mare. Elysian Plains who starts out for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane is another who will know his job. Stoic Soul showed promise when runner-up to a wide-margin winner at this course last October. He never got into the race when beaten 14 lengths into third at Cork at the end of last month but might yet be better than that. The horse behind him in fourth (For Pleasure) won a handicap at this track by six and a half lengths when next seen.
