FormscanBy Alan Magee - Ger Lyons has a strong hand here and I’ll side with ARMY RECRUIT who is the choice of Colin Keane. The Zoffany gelding got going just too late when runner-up to Dark Pursuit (now 4lb worse off) at Down Royal, and the form of that maiden has been working out very well. He handled contrasting ground when again second in quite a hot Gowran Park maiden won by Circus Maximus last time. Lyons is also represented by Kestrel Prince who has only tasted defeat once in three starts and that third to Iridessa at Killarney has been well advertised since. Gustavus Weston gives weight all round but took a Fairyhouse maiden in fine style and hails from a yard in red hot form at present. Gowran maiden winner Dragon Roll is well treated by the conditions and takes a drop in class after taking on Group 3 company at the Curragh last time.
